Our Journey

G.T. & J.A. Jones Engineering Pty Ltd, located in the Melbourne suburb of Dandenong, was formed in 1971 to service a small number of companies in the manufacturing industry with the supply of labour to install equipment and carry out ongoing maintenance services.

Started as, and remains a family owned company, we have since grown to service a very large client base in the food, packaging, pharmaceutical, dairy, manufacturing and textile industries. We permanently employ an extensive range of trades personnel, with a wealth of experience to be offered.

Because we are family owned, the people who run the company have a vested interest in ensuring that we offer the highest level of service at all times, which goes a long way to setting us apart from our competitors.

As the industry has grown, so we have also grown in the way in which we manage the service we offer. As an organisation, we recognize that our employees play an integral role in the quality of service offered, and with this in mind, we have committed to employing new apprentices each year to work within the trades groups we offer. Most of these go on to remain with our company for many years to come.

Our Mission

G.T & J.A. Jones is a multidisciplinary engineering company, providing trades personnel and services to the Food, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, Packaging, Dairy and Textile industries.

Our objective is to provide our clients with a quality professional service that meets their needs and expectations. We will be responsive to meeting the changing needs of our clients by developing new skills as well as continually striving to improve the standard of our service. In order to achieve these objectives, we will pursue the following activities.

• Build effective relationships with our clients through regular communication and liaison at all levels of the company.
• Establish and maintain a Quality Management System which complies to the latest quality standards.
• Continuously improve the quality of our services and service processes.
• Encourage teamwork and staff participation in all aspects of our business, in turn encouraging continuous improvement.

How we do it

To ensure we offer the best possible service to our clients, we have put in place the following:

• Management of personnel with expertise in the food, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and textile industries.
• A comprehensive team of personnel with up to twenty five years of experience with our company.
• A permanent workforce, that takes the care needed, and shows pride in the work being done, because we want your business tomorrow.
• Training and certification to meet the needs and standards required by our clients.
• A workshop manufacturing facility to provide off site works, including stainless steel and mild steel fabrication. Our workshop contains equipment such as, guillotine, presses, radial arm drills, saws, lathes, cranes and forklifts.
• As part of the overall cost, supply of tools and equipment comes standard with each trades person to carry out the work required in the most effective manner.
• Where required by clients – a 24 hour back up service can be supplied.
• An excellent Health and Safety record, with continual improvement through training and work procedure development.

G.T & J.A. Jones has the staff, experience and systems in place to complete a wide range of tasks from installation of new equipment and services, to upgrades of your existing plant, as well as ongoing repairs and maintenance of your plant and equipment when production has commenced.

Work can be carried out on an hourly hire basis, using one of our very professional trades people, or we can provide a very competitive cost to complete your work. You can sit back and watch the work be completed.
